We're not messing around when it comes to St. Patrick's Day, in fact, this week we've got not one, but two Irish cats that are available for adoption.

These two will definitely make your Irish eyes smile, it's Seamus and Liam who are brothers and were adopted as kittens. They had a forever home for the last eight years, then just recently, life took an unexpected turn for the two. Their owner had to relocate to Ireland and could not take them along, so now they are at the Animal Welfare Society and the wait is on for their next forever home.

Both Seamus and Liam are a little nervous being back in shelter life, but overall they are very friendly, get along well with people, and love attention. They are domestic short hair, white and buff, and have the prettiest blue eyes.

Of course they are up to date on all their vaccines, and both Seamus and Liam have been neutered. The most important thing here is that they are bonded and have to go to a new forever home together.

Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, if you're interested in adopting one of the featured pets, any dog or cat at the shelter, you must first fill out an application on their website at aws-shelter.org. Once your application is approved, you can call them at 860-354-1350 and schedule your one-on-one limited contact meeting.

The shelter is always in need of items to help keep the animals safe and clean. Right now, they are looking for bleach, paper towels and dry cat food.

If you can contribute, you can drop off the items at the shelter at 8 Dodd Road in New Milford. Just let them know you're going to drop something off, and you can do it with no contact by just leaving it in front of their building. You can also check the Animal Welfare website for their Amazon wish list, and have the items delivered right to the shelter.
