There's always so much interest when we feature a Tuxedo Cat as our Pet of the Week, so you better act fast if you want to give Taylor a new forever home.

Here is Taylor's back story. She came to the New Milford Animal Welfare Society from West Virginia. She is a two-year-old female tuxedo cat. She's a little shy around unfamiliar people or situations, but once she gets a chance to warm up to you she really is a sweet girl.

Taylor likes chin scratches and will lean into your hand and start to purr softly when you find a good spot and she loves to play with her toys, especially the laser pointer. She gets along well with other animals, both cats and dogs, and people too, though they do recommend a house with no really small children, but that's not an unusual request when it comes to cats.

Of course Taylor is all up to date on her vaccines, and yes she has been spayed as well. Taylor seems like the purr-fect cat, but hurry, Tuxedo's go fast at the Animal Welfare Society.

The shelter is always in need of items to help keep the animals safe and clean. Right now, they are looking for bleach, paper towels and dry cat food.

If you can contribute, you can drop off the items at the shelter at 8 Dodd Road in New Milford. Just let them know you're going to drop something off, and you can do it with no contact by just leaving it in front of their building. You can also check the Animal Welfare website for their Amazon wish list, and have the items delivered right to the shelter.
