Mayor Mark Performs Country Song Live Following Donations to Food Pantry
Over the years, we've seen Mayor Mark Boughton in Danbury do some very unique things in the interest of the city, but what we saw this week may be the wildest.
In his Facebook live updates, the Mayor has been updating the community on the state of the city, and what's going on with the city during the COVID-19 crisis.
He has also issued a karaoke challenge, where he promises to do a personalized karaoke song for everyone who makes a donation to one of the local food banks.
On one of his latest posts, he got a $500 donation and a few $250 donations to the Daily Bread Food Pantry in Danbury, and as promised, he broke into a rendition of "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.
You can check out his karaoke version right here: (Some of the song has been blocked, but you can forward to the 1:25 mark to hear his vocal styling's)
If you would like to hear the Mayor belt one out for you, just make a donation to one of the local food banks, and let the Mayor's office know.
