For years, Untouchable Bar & Restaurant was open late into the night at 40 Liberty Street in Newburgh, NY. Things took a turn, however, when police began responding to escalating violent incidents.

In 2018, the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) announced the suspension of Untouchable's liquor license after multiple infractions were discovered at the business. What began as a response to a reported shooting outside the bar only snowballed into larger problems.

Disorderly crowds, multi-person fights, and license infractions all led to the business' license suspension. A report also cited the Newburgh Police Department's need to "devote special attention to [the] establishment given the violent nature of service calls". But is all that in the past?
