Today in History – See which of the ACM Award Shows Took Place on This Date [PHOTOS]
Today is my daughter's birthday and I started thinking about where I was four years ago today...a first time parent who couldn't believe she was a parent. Four years really flew by!
So I thought it would fun to do a "This Day in History" post and see some of the interesting things that have happened on this date in the past. Here are a few things I found. The links are at the bottom if you want to see the full lists.
- 1475 - Michelangelo was born
- 1899 - Bayer patents Asprin
- 1922 - Babe Ruth signs 3 year contract with NY Yankees for $52,000 a year
- 1923 - Ed McMahon was born
- 1930 - Clarence Birdseye develops a method for quick freezing food
- 1950 - Silly Putty was invented
- 1967 - 2nd Academy of Country Music Awards (they are on April 19 this year)
- 1992 - Michelangelo computer virus starts affecting computers (I'm guessing the date this started wasn't a coincidence)
It's fun to see what happened in history. For the full lists you can check out the resources I used for this post:
