Scholarship Fund Raiser for Carmel High School Grads This Weekend
In the summer of 2011, Carmel High School grad, Caitlyn Savio, was 20-years-old, a nursing student at the University of Rhode Island and a life guard at Lake Carmel. Her future seemed nothing but bright. Until August 11, 2011 when a car accident cut her life short.
In an effort to help her family and friends through their grief, The Caitlyn Rose Savio Foundation was born. Every year, a scholarship is awarded to a Carmel High School graduate pursuing a career in nursing.
A fund raiser will be held once again this year at the Kiwi Country Day Camp, 825 Union Valley Road in Carmel this Saturday, October 6 from noon to 5:00pm. For a $10 donation per car, your family can enjoy a fun filled day. There will be raffles, a 50/50, basketball courts, gaga, boating, batting cages, playing fields and face painting. There will be food available for purchase, baked goods, drinks, prizes and 50/50 raffles.
