Early reports have been bad so we reached out to our expert to get the skinny on what we can expect from the weather on Memorial Day Weekend in the Greater-Danbury Area. Our Meteorologist Jack Drake joined us on the Wednesday (5/21/25) edition of the I-95 Morning Show and this is what he had to say.

Lou: Everyone is freaking out about early reports of Memorial Day weekend weather, what can we really expect?

Jack: "Starting tomorrow, tomorrow is going to be a miserable day. It'll be nasty, I think temperatures struggle to get out of the 40s. There will be rain intermittent, heavy at times. There will be wind out of the northeast. Essentially this should have been a snowstorm. This should have been our big snowstorm this year but just a couple months too late. We're going to get this cold rain so just a nasty day tomorrow. The good news is that is the worst day, and I think the weather improves as we head into Friday. It's still going to be chilly on Friday, not the best day. It'll be mostly cloudy, chilly, chance of showers but then it does get even better for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Sunday and Monday we should be back up towards 70 degrees so not the worst Memorial Day ever. It's going to be on the chillier side; it's going to be breezy but not horrendous."

RECAP

Today (what Jack was calling tomorrow yesterday): Terrible weather can't you tell?

Tomorrow (Friday): Mostly cloudy, chilly, chance of showers.

Saturday: Sunny, warmer than Friday.

Sunday: Sunny, breezy nearing 70's

Monday:  Sunny, breezy nearing 70's
