Luke Bryan's new album offers a glimpse at his softer side on a new song called "Most People Are Good."

It's an honest message of hope, with the superstar belting heartfelt lines like: "I believe you love who you love / Ain't nothing you should ever be ashamed of / I believe this world ain't half as bad as it looks / I believe most people are good." He makes his beliefs clear, singing about too much screen time for kids and how mothers should "quality for sainthood."

A soft guitar and sweet melodies make for a good-natured song that proves timely in today's world, with Bryan explaining in the second verse that, "If you just go by the nightly news / Your faith in all mankind would be the first thing you lose."

"Most People Are Good" was written by David Frasier, Ed Hill and Josh Kear and is featured on Bryan's album What Makes You Country. In addition to the title track and lead single "Light It Up," the project also features a song titled "Pick It Up" that Bryan wrote for his sons.

"My favorite part of making a new album is getting to collaborate with the songwriting community in this town. It is important to me to continue to push myself to grow on all levels and I feel like we did that on this project," the singer says. "Making and performing music never gets old and I can honestly say I am having the time of my life. I will be forever grateful to every fan who sings along each night."

10 Unforgettable Luke Bryan Moments

Luke Bryan's "Most People Are Good" Lyrics:

I believe kids oughta stay kids as long as they can / Turn off the screen, go climb a tree, get dirt on their hands / I believe we gotta forgive and make amends / 'Cause nobody gets a second chance to make new old friends / I believe in working hard for what you've got / Even if it don't add up to a hell of a lot.

Chorus:
I believe most people are good / And most mama's oughta qualify for sainthood / I believe most Friday nights look better under neon or stadium lights / I believe you love who you love / Ain't nothing you should ever be ashamed of / I believe this world ain't half as bad as it looks / I believe most people are good.

I believed them streets of gold are worth the work / But I still wanna go even if they were paved in dirt / I believe that youth is spent well on the young / 'Cause wisdom in your teens would be a lot less fun / I believe if you just go by the nightly news / Your faith in all mankind would be the first thing you lose.

I believe that days go slow and years go fast / And every breath's a gift, the first one to the last.
