Connecticut Ranks in Top Ten of America’s Greenest States
A week ago, as I jogged in a park in Redding, CT, it was undeniably obvious that Spring hadn't sprung yet. As much as I hate the allergy season, the drabness of the winter was really getting to me. Whether it is your favorite color or not, you must miss green as much as I do.
We all know that it's not easy being green. After all, a very famous amphibian told us all about that.
You can been green with envy, and you can also "go green", which we have all come to know is all about the environment. Since Spring seems to be peeking around the corner now, and we just celebrated Earth Day over the weekend, let's take a look at the top 10 green states according to wallethub.com.
Lots of factors went into deciding the rankings such as Environmental Quality, Environmentally friendly behaviors and the contributions of Climate Change. Connecticut ranked number 7 overall and number 1 in the Climate-Change Contributions column of our 50 states. Not too shabby! Here's the top ten:
- Vermont
- Oregon
- Massachusetts
- New York
- South Dakota
- Minnecsota
- Connecticut (hooray for us!)
- New Hampshire
- California
- Rhode Island
