On Monday, Connecticut's average price for a gallon of gas in Connecticut was $3.40/g. Seeing as the price is ridiculous, it is time to do some value shopping for the Danbury readers. According to a Wednesday (3/27/24) Gas Buddy report, the cheapest gallon of gas in Danbury is at the Citgo at 64 Newtown Road where the price is $3.29.

Here are the Top 4 Cheapest gallons of gas in the Hat City

  • Citgo - 64 Newtown Road - 3.29
  • Citgo - 90 West Street - 3.31
  • Gulf - 300 White Street - 3.31
  • Road Runners - 282 White Street - 3.31

The most expensive in Danbury, Connecticut is the Mobil at 40 Backus Avenue where gas is $3.99/g.

Not far away from Danbury, you can find some of the cheapest gas in the state. The New Milford Mercury at 222 Danbury Road was listed on Gas Buddy for $3.10 on Wednesday. The Valero at 315 Danbury Road in New Milford was also inexpensive at $3.11/g. In Brookfield, you can find the cheapest gas at the 177 Federal Road Citgo for $3.12.

It's hard to believe we live in a time where gas over $3 is the cheapest you can find but this is our reality. I really need to pass right by Mobil every chance I get because they are always the most expensive stations but I love having the pumps all to myself. If I have to play Tetris just to get my car lined up with the pump, I'm out of there and on to the next place.

7 of Danbury's Most Interesting Signs

There is a song by Tesla and the lyrics go something like this:

"Signs Signs, everywhere there's signs blocking out the scenery breaking my mind, do this, don't do that can't you read the sign?" I think the song was actually written by a man named Les Emmerson but that is for another day. Signs can block out the scenery, disturb or even make people laugh. Danbury, CT has it's fair share of signs, these are just a bit more interesting than your average public message.
