In general, we’re at the tail end of flu season, but the Centers for Disease Control, (the CDC) are now sounding the alarm regarding a second round of Flu Virus B, which is spreading rapidly according to WTNH.

The CDC states that the B viruses are suddenly becoming even more prevalent than the A strain viruses. A CDC spokesperson says B-strain viruses tend to be more intense for young children.

Medical professionals say it’s a possibility for people who have already had the flu to get sick again with another strain in the latter part of the flu season, so no one gets immunity from this strain.

We have passed the peak for the flu season, and it’s been a really rough one so far, with flu related deaths in Connecticut up to 127. As much as we want it to be, the flu season ain’t over ‘til it’s over.
