Carmel High School Is Home to Our May Teacher of The Month
Jeannine Blum of Carmel High School has been recognized as our WOLF May Teacher of the month.
It's been more challenging now than ever for teachers, as they try and educate their students through both in-person and distant learning.
Jeannine was nominated by her friend Michelle who had some pretty nice things to say about this exceptional teacher.
Mrs. Blum has been teaching at Carmel High School her whole career. She has always put her students first. Mrs. Blum holds extra help both before and after school. During the course of the school day, she works hard to make sure that her lessons are the best they can be. Mrs. Blum can easily spend 6 to 7 hours on a Saturday working on her lessons to make sure her students are beyond ready for the AP exam in May. Mrs. Blum also cares about her colleagues, she is one of the professional development coordinators. She searches and finds the best professional development for the teachers in our district, especially now with this distant learning. While doing all of this, Mrs. Blum is still able to be a outstanding wife and mother to her family!
If you know a teacher who goes above and beyond, you can nominate them by just filling out the simple entry form below.
Each month, we'll select a different teacher and honor them with a fantastic meal at Barbarie's Black Angus Grill in Danbury. Also, every teacher of the month chosen will get an official 'Wolf Teacher of the Month' certificate to commemorate the honor.
So, nominate a teacher in your town who does so much in shaping our kids lives, then be listening on the last Friday of each month at 3:20 PM, that's when Bill Trotta will announce the monthly winner. So make sure you nominate a teacher today. Any teacher at any grade level, from pre-school to college professor are eligible.
