I've always thought that Woodbury restaurants served up world-class cuisine. I'm a huge fan of Good News and John's Cafe, Market Place, Dottie's and Elenni's. Now, you can add a former food truck to that list. I first saw El Camion's food truck parked on the side of the road, it was in such a quiet, unique location. They were parked outside what used to be known as Pete's Drive-In on Sherman Hill Road in Woodbury. I had never caught El Camion when it was open, but that changed this past Friday.

Operating out of the renovated building they formerly just parked in front of, El Camion still has their food truck on site for events and catering. I phoned my order in ahead of time. I ordered 1 Chicken Taco, 1 Steak Taco, and 1 Fish Taco. They also offer Pork, and a vegetarian option, Sweet Potato. The parking lot was quiet at 6:30PM, but right after I pulled in, more and more people showed up. El Camion offers a very simple menu: tacos, burritos, rice bowls, and quesadillas. Each item is very reasonably priced.

Each taco was served in a soft taco wrap, filled with shaved cabbage, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The fish taco had delicious mango salsa, and the steak had a great tomatillo salsa topping. These tacos didn't stand a chance against my hunger, they disappeared in minutes. Very, very, very good. If you're ever jonesing for simple, delicious street tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, give El Camion a shot, they're legit.
