Places Near Greater Danbury Perfect for Star Gazing
There is one thing we all have in common, and that is the night's sky. Of course, it is dark here before it is in L.A., but the sky is the same, with slight differences in what we can and cannot see, depending on where you live in the country. We can all see the constellations that are present throughout the year, there are apps that will tell you which ones you should be seeing when you hold your phone up to the sky.

Why not see them for yourself without the use of an all-knowing, probably listening to every single conversation you have, downloaded app. Get out of the house and actually travel to an Observatory that is not too far away and do some first-hand stargazing.
I googled up a few observatories that would be cool to go and check out. My only experiences with observatories are driving by them and remarking, "I think that is an observatory", but I have been to a planetarium and that was a nightmare with a story for another time. My "near me" google results netted some cool places you might want to think about packing up the family car and take a short drive to check out.
They include McCarthy Observatory in New Milford, Westport Astronomical Society, Vassar Observatory, and the Leitner Family Observatory and Planetarium. All look like they have activities again on their calendar and with summer weather here, now is the time to see what they have to offer. Happy stargazing and check out the pics and locations.
