Wolf Den Honors Special Organization This September
For September, we are excited to announce that the Wolf Den of Heroes Inductee is in honor of all the First Responders who ran in on September 11th, 2001. This is a very special nomination, as it was an idea posed by you, the Wolf listeners. This will be the nineth time we have been able to honor First Responders in 2026 thanks to our sponsors and your nominations.
The Wolf has teamed up with Mid Hudson Pump Company, MHA of Dutchess County, and Rutberg Breslow Personal Injury Law each month to select one of our area's first responders to be inducted into the Wolf Den of Heroes from among everyone who has been nominated to date.
This month, we are honoring all those who responded to and were lost due to the events on September 11th, 2001, by donating this month's $500 gift to an organization founded by a 9/11 First Responder and whose mission is to come to the aid of communities after man-made and natural disasters: HEART911.org.
HEART 911 (Healing Emergency Aid Response Team), founded by William E. Keegan in 2007, is a non-profit disaster response organization. The group is made up of police, fire, union construction workers, and surviving members of 9/11 families who came together for each other in the aftermath of September 11, 2001.
They honor the sacrifices of brave colleagues and family members lost, to continue to utilize their experience and training in service to others, and to provide disaster relief and humanitarian aid to individuals and communities in need. HEART 9/11’s (Healing Emergency Aid Response Team) mission is to Respond immediately to natural and man-made disasters; Rebuild community centers in hard-hit areas to meet grassroots needs; and Recover by building resiliency for individuals, families, and communities.
