Recently I came across a Connecticut Reddit post from Intelligent-Deal2449 who asked a question about nips in the State of Connecticut. For the uninitiated, CT folks call mini liquor bottles "nips. Intelligent-Deal wrote:

"I live in a shoreline town, and I am picking nips off of my front yard on an almost daily basis. Got off my exit last night on my way home and there was a pile of about ten fireball nips on the ground at the stop sign, only to find 3 more on my front yard. If it wasn't for the fact that nips seem to be a consistent source of litter, I wouldn't care but this is insane. I don't find other trash like fast food, cups or soda cans, only freaking nips. Not to mention the drinking and driving that is obviously occurring which is also a huge problem. I don't want to sound like a Karen, but I have put countless hours into my yard to keep it looking nice only for some clown to toss their trash on it. The great outdoors isn't a dumpster. Rant over."

These were some of the funniest responses in the thread:

SonofDiomedes: Plot twist: OPs husband has cinnamon breath.

XDingoX83: FREE THE NIPS! Wait... I think we are talking about different things?

CouldSheBeAnyAngrier: I’m not from CT originally and I still occasionally forget that’s what they’re called here, and I got SO self-conscious about my bralettes and less structured bras.

Key-Web5678: I used to work with a guy that would rip five nips on his way home because he hates his wife.

Aromatic-Tear7234: Especially Fireball. I swear 80% of nips found littered around are Fireball. I'm from a middle-class suburban area and the amount found roadside is absurd.

CoolestGDNameEver: I came here for a debate on public nudity, and I am very disappointed.

Level-Way1525: How cool would it be if package stores had giant kegs of liquor that you could fill up reusable nips with.

My Favorite Art Gallery is The Market-Bantam Craft Beer Cooler

I have to hand it to you craft beer makers of Connecticut, you use such beautiful artwork on your cans. My wife and I wandered into the awesome craft beer cooler at The Market-Bantam the other night, and spent about 15 minutes appreciating the 38 degree art gallery.
