Crash: Danbury Police Need Your Help to ID This Vehicle!
On November 2nd, 2024, around 8:46 PM, Danbury Police responded to a crash involving a car and a moped at 36 Padanaram Road. According to a City of Danbury press release, the rider of the moped was taken to Danbury Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Padanaram Road had to be shut down in both directions for several hours while the Accident Investigation Team looked into the incident. They're hoping to get in touch with the driver of a dark-colored 2-door Jeep Wrangler or anyone who might have seen what happened.
Police are asking residents with any information to please reach out to Officer Leggiadro at 203-917-2156.
Want more Greater-Danbury news and information? Check out the Ethan, Lou & Large Dave Podcast. The show is available wherever you get your podcasts, including Apple and Spotify. The program is the same one we do on the radio but with limited commercials and no music. You can also listen live by streaming the show on the I-95 Rock Mobile app, or tune into I-95 (95.1FM).
P.S. It's been a bust time for police in the Greater-Danbury area. There was also an incident on Clapboard Ridge Road where a gas station pump was struck by a vehicle. I saw the aftermath of that myself but the city is investigating further before releasing any information.
Additionally, there was also a motor vehicle situation in New Milford where a car was seen swerving on Route 7 and witnesses say it struck several telephone poles. I-95 has requested information on both of those cases and we'll share whatever information is available when we receive it.
