Connecticut Airport Nominated for Best Small Airport in the Country

I say this all of the time, but when I travel, I'm huge on convenience. It makes the stress of traveling and getting to your destination safely that much easier.

We're pretty lucky here in Connecticut because we have options. We have a smaller international airport right in Hartford, we have a very small airport in New Haven, and we have a few main airports not far from us at all in NYC and Newark. The options are pretty endless. It comes down to what is the easiest for you.

What is Connecticut's best smallest airport?

With that, I like having the option if I want to go out of a small airport, a quiet airport, or the hustle and bustle of JFK. It's all there for me and we're pretty lucky. Something that's been huge for Connecticut is the expansion of Tweed Airport. With Avelo Airlines and Breeze Airways regularly flying out of there, it's made traveling from Connecticut so much easier.

Just recently, Tweed Airport was being nominated in a News Week publication for the best small airport, letting people vote on which they think is the best around the country. The airports mentioned were:

This is a good list of airports. It's also a nice list to have when I want to travel to a smaller airport. It looks like voting will happen until April 10 and then 10 winners will be announced the following week. I will be sure to update everyone if Tweed wins.

Traveling is good for the soul. If you don't want to deal with the craziness of JFK, I highly recommend going out of Tweed and taking a flight to one of the destinations they offer. While you won't get your TV entertainment and snack goodies, you'll get a quick airport process and a quick trip to the destination you're going to.

I've never been to any of these other small airports, but when I do, I'll update you on how they are.
