I've got an idea for the festival organizers of Connecticut for the summer of 2025 and beyond: How about a morning breakfast food/brunch Festival?

There are all sorts of outdoor festivals around Connecticut, we have Oyster, potato and corn, strawberry, garlic, beer sampling events, even pickle festivals, but one thing that most of them have in common is 10AM start times, usually on the weekends. What if you're ready to go at 6AM? True morning people that want to get a cup of coffee and check out different music and vendors? Nothing. Jamie Lee Curtis floated the idea of daytime concerts for us music fans who can't commit to a 9PM start on a weeknight anymore, but name something more universally loved than breakfast food?

The older I get, the more I love eating breakfast food all day long. Lots of restaurants feature all-day menus, and I eat pancakes and eggs for dinner. I love breakfast foods so much, I act like Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein in this classic from their show Portlandia

What if there was an outdoor or indoor breakfast/brunch festival? Where you could stroll around and try different breakfast sandwiches, pastries, donuts, and a nice selection of Connecticut coffee vendors? Isn't that more of an attraction rather than a slew of local crafters? I've never seen or heard anyone float this idea before, but I believe in it, and I hope someone with more cash than I have runs with it. BrunchFest 25 in Ansonia, Hartford, Waterbury or wherever, bring the syrup.
