I will admit, you have to really, and I mean really, love cats to appreciate a Sphynx. Even the name looks like it's spelled wrong. S-P-H-Y-N-X It's so Ancient Egyptian.

I have never had one, but while I worked as a Veterinary Technician at a cat only clinic, I had many encounters with this amazing breed of cats which led me to my complete appreciation of their purrsonalities and, yes, their beauty.

There's nothing to hide with a Sphynx. What you see is literally what you get. Probably the best thing about them is that you won't need a fur roller. You may think that they are hypoallergenic but that is not the case. While the Sphynx definetly won't deposit dander-laden fur around your house, the thing that causes an allergic reaction in some people is what's called Fel d 1 glycoprotein which is in the saliva of a cat and also emmited through their skin.
