The rising prices of groceries are brutal, but one locally-owned chain of grocery stores here in Connecticut is raging against inflation in a unique way: A storewide sale.

This isn't a joke; I got a tip for the bargain hunters of savvy shoppers of Connecticut: A family-owned chain of 4 local grocery stores is offering most of their products in all four of their markets for 25% off. Anyone want to save a few bucks on eggs?

Locally owned for multiple generations and in its 125th year of operation in Connecticut, LaBonne's Markets has locations in Watertown, Prospect, Woodbury, and Salisbury. LaBonne's is proud of their independence and commitment to Connecticut and New England-made products. You may remember LaBonne's Markets in Southbury before they bought the former Oliver's in Prospect too. I've been shopping at LaBonne's since the 1970's, my grandmother loved going to the Woodbury store to shop, LaBonne's always had the real imported Italian products that Everybody's, A&P, Cavallo's, or Pathmark didn't have.

For one day only, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, LaBonne's is offering 25% off nearly everything in all four of their stores (Woodbury, Watertown, Prospect, Salisbury), while supplies last, and no rainchecks. There are exclusions: Beer, Tobacco, US Postage, CT Lottery tickets, Boars Head American Cheeses, Gift Cards, and a few more, so check while you're shopping. The 25% off offer cannot be combined with other discounts or coupons either.

This is an annual event that LaBonne's has been doing for a couple of years now, I went to the Watertown market last year during the sale and picked up quite a few things extra than a usual shopping trip. Great idea, and thanks for a nice gesture LaBonne's.
