If you think you have the voice and personality to be the new voice of the UConn Huskies, a rare job opportunity has just opened up.

One of the coolest and most competitive jobs in broadcasting is handling the public address announcements at major sporting events. Admit it, you've imitated the great Bob Sheppard while watching the Yankees, right? "Now batting....at Shortstop, Derek Jeter...Jeter...". Do you want to give it a shot at Gampel Pavillion, Rentschler Field, and the XL Center in Hartford?

The University of Connecticut has just announced that they've started up their search for their next public address announcer. UConn is looking for talented individuals to serve as the public address announcer at upcoming UConn football, basketball, baseball, and other sporting events for the 2025-2026 athletic seasons. Before you proceed any further, just know that the position will be part time, without benefits, besides one of the best vantage points in the house. You will be required to attend all UConn home games in the selected sport, including night, weekend, exhibition, and post-season.

Have a Look Inside the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame

Did you know that Mohegan Sun is home to the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame? I didn't, and I quite literally strolled right into it this past weekend. Mohegan Sun has played a huge role in keeping the sport alive by hosting numerous events over the past few decades, it's a perfect place to honor the best boxers to ever come from Connecticut.
