What is the Worst Thing About Living in Connecticut?

I'm guessing most people pointed to the cost of living—and honestly, it's a fair complaint because it's completely out of control. But according to a new list from Far & Wide/MSN titled 'The Worst Things About Every U.S. State That People Pretend Don't Exist,' that's not the answer.

They say it's the condition of our roads, writing:

Behind the picture-perfect towns and ivy-wrapped campuses, there's something a little bumpier about life in Connecticut—literally. Over half the state's public roads are in rough shape, making commutes feel more like obstacle courses.

The critique is fair—and honestly, accurate. We’ve got potholes big enough to swallow a front end and make you question why you even got out of bed. But here’s how I’d rank things. Here’s my Top 10:

1. Cost of Living

2. Too Many Connecticut Residents Who Hate Living Here

3. Careless/Reckless Drivers

4. Road Conditions

5. Lack of Quality Beaches

6. The Smell of Naugatuck

7. Endless and Painful Discussion About Pizza

8. Rough Winters

9. Lack of Access to Karate - I feel like there's more karate in other states.

10. Utility Costs - It gets its own category.

What do you think?

What did MSN say about our New York neighbors? You won't believe how oddly specific—and downright weird—it is. Honestly, it might even top complaining about not having access to karate. Here's what MSN wrote:"

Grabbing a slice in Brooklyn, street tacos in Queens, or farm-fresh apples upstate—New York's food scene never takes a day off. But all that eating on the go comes with an ugly side dish: the state leads the nation in food poisoning cases, mostly thanks to norovirus.

FOOD POISOINING. What?

FBIs Most Wanted Fugitives with Connecticut Ties

The FBI’s Most Wanted List sounds like something out of a TV drama—but it’s very real. And some of the people on it have surprising ties to Connecticut. They’ve lived here, passed through, or have strong connections to the Nutmeg State. So yeah, it hits close to home. Here are four fugitives with CT links you should know about.
