Your Summer Guide to Greater Danbury Farmers Markets
Farmers markets are a great way to spend your time this summer. While taking in the beautiful Connecticut summer weather and spending time outside you are also getting fresh and delicious foods. This is a great alternative to the grocery store because you are supporting your local farms and getting fresh produce as well.
Due to COVID-19 a lot of these farmers markets had to be shut down last year, or if they weren't shut down there was a lower capacity of people with strict social distancing rules and masks. Now that things are starting to open up again what better way to enjoy your time is there than to go to a farmers' market and take in the scent of farm to table food (breakfast sandwiches and pastries!), cut flowers, and organic fruits and vegetables.
Some of these markets even host fun events for children and adults including games and live music, and if you’re a pet lover some of the markets even sell organic dog treats.
So, if you're trying to shop local this summer, we’ve got you covered with local farmers markets that sell delicious fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses, pastries, soap, dog treats, and more!
