Man in Critical Condition After Shooting at Fairfield Restaurant
A scary scene developed last night (October 9) at Wings Over Fairfield, a local chicken wing restaurant. CTpost.com is reporting that at 9:07pm a 9-1-1 call came in to the Fairfield Police Department Emergency Communications Center. Police were dispatched to 2075 Black Rock Turnpike where they found one of the restaurant's delivery drivers lying on his back in the back hallway with what police believe to be an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
Emergency personel administered first aid at the scene and then transported the 24-year-old Trumbull man to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport. He was then rushed into emergency surgery. He is listed in critical yet stable condition.
It is unclear if the man had a gun permit as police have not released many details on the incident yet. The victim's name is also being held at this time until his family is notified.
