Is Connecticut More Fun Than Florida? New Study Reveals the Truth
Is it possible that the Nutmeg State is more fun than the Sunshine State? The short is answer is no and a new study backs that up. Wallet Hub just conducted their annual study of the most fun states and this is what they found.
W.H. examined a variety of factors to come up with this list, they looked at:
- Restaurants per capita
- Movie Theaters per capita
- Golf courses & country clubs per capita
- Performing-arts theater per capita
- Fitness centers per capita
- Skiing facilities per capita
- Marinas per capita
- Access to National Parks
- Variety of Arts, Entertainment & recreational establishments
- Personal expenditures on recreational establishments per capita
- State & local expenditures on parks & recreation per capita
When they crunched all the numbers they found that these are the Top 10 Most Fun States in the U.S.
1. Florida
2. California
3. Nevada
4. New York
5. Colorado
6. Illinois
7. Texas
8. Washington
9. Minnesota
10. Louisiana
How did Connecticut do? Maybe we cracked the Top 15? Top 20? Wrong! Connecticut was rated the 44th most fun state in the nation meaning, NOT FUN.
Look, we may not be as fun as Florida but maybe that is the price you have to pay for some semblance of control. Florida is a lawless swamp that devolves further into chaos on a daily basis. Here's a great example, I just read a story about a Florida man who punched another man in the face for complimenting his car.
We're smarter than that in Connecticut, we don't bother speaking to strangers.
