Some of the Best Mac n’ Cheese in the U.S. is Located in Branford, Connecticut
It's officially fall. Well I guess not "officially", but the second Labor Day comes around, we jump right into everything fall.
Fall is probably my favorite season. We're coming off of summer, the weather is still nice, there are so many fun fall activities, and the fall food choices are pretty endless. We start heading into the comfort food season, so there are so many delicious options at our finger tips.
There are a few different food options when I think comfort food, but one that sticks out is mac n' cheese. You're either a mac n' cheese lover or hater, I feel like there isn't too much of an in-between. Love Food recently put out a list of some of the best mac n' cheese throughout the country, and I had to see what Connecticut was working with.
I feel like Connecticut has a few different options. One that automatically comes to mind for me is MacDaddy's in Monroe. If you've never been and you love mac n' cheese, I highly recommend. They have a bunch of different mac options and the food is to die for. Mark my words.
Since I gave my own two cents, I was curious to see what Love Food considered to be Connecticut's best mac n' cheese. They said Home Restaurant in Branford had the best mac n' cheese. More specifically, their spicy buffalo chicken mac. I'm not too familiar with that side of the state, but I love learning about new restaurants and seeing what they have to offer.
Home Restaurant is located at 1114 Main Street in Branford. The homepage of their website says they are celebrating 10 years of serving the community of Branford. They have a pretty large menu, but they have a section of their menu dedicated specifically to mac n' cheese. Their different options of mac includes Shrimp Bisque Mac, Spicy Buffalo Chicken Mac, Biscuit & Gravy Mac, and Elote Mac.
Wow wow wow do they all sound phenomenal. They were said to be the best, so I think it's definitely worth checking out. Taking a look at their hours, they are closed Mondays, but their kitchen is open from 3 - 10 PM on Tuesday through Thursday, 12 - 11 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 11 AM - 9 PM on Sunday.
I think I need to take a ride to Home Restaurant in Branford. Their menu has sucked me right in.
