Over the years, a parade of anchor stores have pulled out of the Meriden Mall, and on April 20th, Dick's Sporting Goods joins that parade. The fact is, the future of the Meriden Mall looks grim, according to an article from Heart Connecticut Media.

Meriden's economic development director, Joseph Feest, told  ctinsider.com"The change to online shopping has definitely hurt, as has the consolidation of retailers who no longer need a store in every mall like before,"
