Summer Fun to Finish Up Early at Lake Compounce

Most of us would agree that the year 2020 has been nasty, somewhat depressing and now this.

The good times will cease to roll for those who love the thrill of "Boulder Dash" and the wet and wild fun of "Bayou Bay". Unfortunately, you only have approximately two weeks before Lake Compounce calls it a season. Sorry to inform you that Lake Compounce Amusement Park and Waterpark will be closing up shop just after Labor Day this year, according to an article in the Hartford Courant. How about one last go on Boulder Dash?

The early closing also means the hugely popular 'Haunted Graveyard and Holiday Lights off-season will not be happening, but the park wants you to know that both will return in 2021.

During a normal season at Lake Compounce, the park closes down after Halloween to prepare for their Christmas theme and their wildly popular Holiday Lights display that kicks off after Thanksgiving. Check it out!

In case you didn't know, Lake Compounce is the oldest continuously operating amusement park and they plan to open for the 2021 season during the first weekend of May. If you're a 2020 season pass-holder you will get an extension to cover the 2021 season.
