On Friday morning, January 10, 2020, guests at the Red Lion Hotel in Cromwell, Connecticut, were told to pack their suitcases and leave the premises immediately.

Imagine being woken up by a pounding on your door and told to pack up your belongings and vacate the building immediately. There was no warning and initially no reason why.

Could it be a fire, a health emergency, or even a man with a gun? It was none of those. Instead, according to a January 2020 article in the Middletown Press, investigators from the state Department of Revenue Services were at the hotel to shut it down.

Twenty months after the Red Lion was forced to close, YouTubers "LC Explores" were able to get inside. Let's look at what a vast abandoned hotel looks like inside after more than a year-and-a-half of neglect.
