Northern New England’s Aroma Joe’s is Coming to Connecticut

I just found out this morning that one of my favorite coffee restaurants in Northern New England is headed South to Connecticut, with it's first location just about ready to open for business, and start rolling out their delicious goods.

Aroma Joe's is a direct, local competitor to Dunkin' and Starbucks, with a menu that revolves around coffee, breakfast sandwiches, soft pretzels, pastries and smoothies. The first Aroma Joe's was founded in East Rochester, New Hampshire in 2000 by 4 cousins from Maine. From that one location, Aroma Joe's has now grown to over 70+ locations, primarily in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. But they're rapidly expanding their locations into Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Florida and in the next few weeks, Bristol, CT.

The first Connecticut Aroma Joe's will open soon at 1235 Farmington Avenue in Bristol. It's located in the shopping plaza that has Hobby Lobby, Big Lots and The Edge Fitness Center, in the old Webster Bank location next to Wendy's.

I have to say that Bristol has been leading the way when it comes to bringing franchises in from out of state. The first Taco Bell I remember in Connecticut was on Farmington Avenue and right where Aroma Joe's is going to be, that was the first Hobby Lobby in Connecticut that I remember opening up years ago.

Here's what you'll find on the Aroma Joe's menu - Espresso drinks - mocha, lattes, Americano, and a cappuccino. Hot coffees, iced coffees, energy drinks and smoothies, cold brew coffee, assorted iced and hot teas and lemonades. For food - Breakfast sandwiches, donuts, muffins, bagels, hash browns, cinnamon rolls and soft pretzels.

The coffee is outstanding, Mrs. Large and I pick up a few pounds of the Aroma Joe's House Blend and Hazelnut whole coffee beans and grind them up fresh, it's such a rich blend of caramel and chocolate notes. We love Aroma Joe's and I'll be one of the first in line when they open up at 1235 Farmington Ave in Bristol.
