School Officials Think Pot Brownies Sent 17 Students to the Nurse in Connecticut

It was a Valentine's Day that some students and teachers will probably never forget. According to a report by WFSB.com, emergency personnel were dispatched to Global Communications Academy off of Edwards Street in Hartford around 2:30 yesterday afternoon (February 14) when seventeen students were sent to the nurse's office. Police believe that the students consumed brownies that had been laced with marijuana.

Police and Emergency Medical Technicians were called to the school when a teacher at the academy had noticed a student and a paraprofessional allegedly selling the tainted baked goods. All of the the brownies have been collected by police and are currently undergoing testing by investigators to see if they contain any illegal ingredients. None of the students were sent to the hospital.

The aide and the student suspected of selling the brownies will not be in school tomorrow. They may face charges although so far, no arrests have been made yet.
