As of today, May 5th, Governor Ned Lamont has made the official announcement that K-12 Connecticut Schools will remain closed for the rest of the academic year.

Gov. Lamont made the official announcement on Twitter, stating "Due to the ongoing pandemic, in-person classes at K-12 schools in Connecticut will remain closed for the rest of the academic year." He also continues to say "it is the best course of action for the safety of students, educators, and staff."

Schools have been officially closed due to COVID-19 since March 12th and plan to continue with online learning for the remainder of the school year.
