It’s Good News/Bad News For Ridgefield Atop U.S. Safest Cities List
Every year, Neighborhood Scout publishes a list of the nation’s safest cities. All kinds of numbers are crunched to come up with the top 100 safest cities in America. They study and survey professionals from all walks of life. They analyze trends. Data is gathered regarding crime rates, medical services, school ratings, lifestyles in the region, home appreciation rates and so forth.
The new list just came out, and the good news for Ridgefield residents is the town is still in great standing. The bad news is, it’s no longer number one. It has fallen from the number one spot, which it claimed last year. The new number one is Oakridge, Tennessee, followed by Shoreview, Minnesota and then Ridgefield.
Neighboring towns in Connecticut that made the list are:
Greenwich coming in at number 17
Cheshire showing at number 19
Westport appearing at number 69
and finally Glastonbury hitting the list at number 75
All things considered Ridgefield’s bragging rights are still in tact. Being number three on the list is still pretty impressive.
