Hocus Pocus 2 Casting for Extras in the Connecticut + New England Area
It's a movie that everyone loves, it's even some people's favorite Halloween movie. Now you have a chance to be part of the sequel.
It's probably the most anticipated Disney movie in some time. It has a legion of dedicated fans, and now the sequel has been announced, and a casting call is giving super fans the opportunity to actually appear in the upcoming movie.
According to providencejournal.com, the sequel reunites the stars of the original movie, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, and filming will take place in the Providence, Rhode Island area from October through December.
The casting website kendallcooper.com posted that they are looking for people that are local to the Providence area, but if you live in Connecticut, you're still in the mix. The company says that there is an option for potential extras who are within a two hour driving distance and can work as a local hire. All work, testing, and fittings for extras will be paid, however there will be no compensation for travel and there will be no accommodations provided. Filming will generally take place Monday through Friday and is often a 12 hour or more commitment for each day of work.
The casting company is specifically looking for children and adults of all ages, genders and sizes. They are also seeking people with dance experience, men with shoulder length hair or longer, and younger adults ages 18-24, and you don't have to be an SAG card holder to be considered.
The company also has a fairly strict COVID-19 policy. Mandatory local COVID testing will be required before any in-person work, and the testing will be provided by the production company. You will also need to provide verification that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to have a shot at getting a part. For all children working on set, guardians will also need to provide verification of vaccination. Masks will be required at all times, except when appearing on camera.
The casting call will be ongoing throughout the movie's filming schedule.
