Greater Danbury Weekend Weather: What We Can Expect This Independence Day
When you think of the Fourth of July, you may think of firing up a grill outdoors with family and friends while awaiting a firework display when the sun goes down. Ideally, the weather would provide clear skies and a comfortable temperature that’s perfect for lawn games, ice-cold drinks and quality time with those we’re close to.
With the Fourth just two days away, let’s take a look at what the weekend weather is going to be like around Greater Danbury and see if our perfect scenario could come to fruition.
According to the National Weather Service, Saturday is looking pretty rainy with temperatures around the low to mid-60s. There’s an 80 percent chance of rain that may put a damper on any outdoor activities planned the day before the Fourth. Looking at the hourly forecast, it’s looking like the rain is going to start on Friday night and not stop until Saturday around midnight.
As for the actual Fourth of July on Sunday, it’s looking a bit cloudy with temperatures around the low to mid-70s. Rain is to be expected in the afternoon with about a 40 percent chance.
Even though there may be a bit of rain this weekend, there is still much to do with family and friends for those who are expecting company. One thought could be to listen to some of the most patriotic songs and break out a jigsaw puzzle or a board game. Here’s to hoping that the rain holds out on the Fourth so we can all enjoy everything about this summer holiday that we love so much.
