A 20-year-old South Carolina man wanted for double murder and grand larceny is in custody in Connecticut.

A report released by Connecticut State Police states that the Aiken County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina asked for their assistance in the search for Jeremie David Tobey who was being sought in connection to the murders of Cody Diminovich, 25, and Pamela Lawson, 38.

On Monday afternoon, police received information that Tobey was being treated at Windham Hospital in Willimantic. Police arrived and arrested him just as he was about to be released.

A 2011 blue Honda Civic was also stolen from the home was also recovered by police.

Tobey is being held in Connecticut on $1,000,000 bond and awaiting extradition. The investigation is still ongoing.
