Danbury Farmers’ Market Returns to Downtown With More Than Just Local Produce
Farmers' Markets are a hot commodity, and Danbury has played host to quite a few. The latest and greatest is getting ready to open for another awesome season.
There's something very special about a local Farmers' Market. Certainly many big box grocery stores offer fresh and organic produce, but there's such a different vibe in buying directly from local growers. Add to that, weekly live music, family fun and activities, and fantastic vendors from all over Connecticut, this market captures the very essence of the what is currently going on in Downtown Danbury. It's exactly the type of thing that will contribute to a successful revitalization of the area.
The CityCenter Danbury Farmers' Market opens this Saturday, June 24, and runs every Saturday through October from 10 AM - 2 PM right on Danbury's CityCenter Green. Danburyfarmersmarket.org says that complimentary parking is available at the Patriot Garage on Independence Way.
