Some of my favorite meals recently have been made by grocery store employees. It's so convenient, fried chicken, a pizza, even seafood, right next to your groceries. We've all choked down a gas station hot dog, or a slice of cardboard pizza in desperation, but I've eaten the best meals recently from five local supermarkets.

In my opinion, five smaller grocery stores around here hired excellent cooks and chefs, and use superior ingredients.
