Drive-Thru Dinosaur Exhibit Coming To Connecticut
As we found out recently during The Place You Live with Mike Allen on the I95 morning show with Ethan and Lou, Connecticut has a long and very rich history when it comes to dinosaurs.
While Yale's Peabody Museum and their incredible life-sized dinosaur displays and fossils undergo it's massive reconstruction for the next couple of years, life-size dinosaurs are tough to come by here in CT. It's really cool to stand underneath a Brontosaurus that's the size of a building, or stare into the mouth of a T-Rex.
You're going to have an opportunity to do just that and check out over 70 life-sized dinosaur replicas here in Connecticut in a few weeks. Jurassic Quest Drive Thru is booked to come to East Hartford's Rentschler Field from July 30 - August 8, 2021.
I found a few photos of the press preview that this company did earlier this year, and their dinosaurs look really cool. According to their website, over 70 models will be on display at Rentschler Field. The promoters also promise a photo of you, your passengers and vehicle with a dinosaur, photo opportunities, meet & greets with baby dinosaurs and their 'Trainers', and a "Choose-your-own audio adventure" to go along with your tour.
The event looks like it runs once a day, and it takes about an hour to go through, according to their website. Connecticut is pretty lucky, the only other stops on the Jurassic Quest tour in the Northeast are at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass, and Buffalo, NY.
