Popular Connecticut Donut Chain Suspiciously Closes All Locations
Love me some donuts! A popular Connecticut donut chain with multiple locations around the state looks like it has suddenly closed their locations with no explanation or announcement as to why.

Donut Crazy Abruptly Closes Locations
Donut Crazy has been a popular brand loved by locals for quite some time. Locations continued to pop up all over Connecticut, but recently, it seemed like some were beginning to close as well. Donut Crazy was known for their unique assortment of donuts that they would craft up daily. They had flavors from Cannoli, Nutella, Kookie Monster, Black Hawk, Maple Bacon, French Toast, Birthday Cake, Cereal and so many more, to some basics as well. They would regularly post their mouthwatering donuts that they were cooking up.
Interesting enough, it looks like recently, they have abruptly closed all of their locations without any notice. The current Donut Crazy locations around Connecticut were as follows:
- 993 Farmington Ave, West Hartford
- 785 River Road, Shelton
- 1 Ferry Lane, Westport
- 3690 Main Street, Stratford
- 290 York Street, New Haven
Connecticut Scoop posted over the weekend that it seemed like all of their locations suddenly closed with no information about whether or not they were going to reopen. Some locations have signs saying "sorry sold out" and some just simply do not answer the phone. We called the locations and got no answers, as well as one of the numbers being completely out of service.
In CT Scoop's post on Facebook announcing the closures, many people chimed in about their experience with Donut Crazy. Not many were super positive, some were, saying they loved the donuts and will miss them. Many people weighed in that the donuts were expensive and that there are a lot of better options around the state like Neil's Donuts in Wallingford.
I wonder if they will reopen or if they're going to stay closed for good. If they stay closed, I assume they will make some sort of announcement right? Either way, I'll be sure to keep you updated.
