The Magic of Candlewood Lake's 2024 'Illuminated Boat Parade

On Friday, July 12th (rain date July 13th), as the sun sets and darkness begins to descend over Candlewood Lake, glowing decorated boats of all shapes and sizes, lit up like Christmas trees, begin to line up off the shores of the Candlewood Isle beach and clubhouse. It is a sight to behold!!

The parade route for the 2024 Candlewood Lake Illuminated Boat Parade sails from the Candlewood Isle beach, passes the New Fairfield Town Beach, Knollcrest Shores, and Chatterton Marina and then hangs a left towards Squantz Pond State boat launch, and ends at Spear Point.

Viewing for New Fairfield residents will be at the New Fairfield Town Park Beach beginning at 7:30 pm, and the parade will start at dusk. You can also view the boat parade at the boat launch area of Squantz Pond State Park.
