We all know where we were when the tornadoes and macrobursts hit our area. We were all hit pretty hard with some communities without power for two weeks. Help came from all over to get the power on and our towns back to as normal as possible, as quickly as possible.

While many out of town crews took refuge at local restaurants and hotels, many local city employees would work countless hours only to go home to their own power outages and damaged homes. One local establishment decided to do what they can to give back.

Tomorrow, Texas Roadhouse will be hosting a feast for local workers who helped during all of the power outages and local devastion. I spoke with Matt Rusinko, the Managing Partner/Owner of Danbury's Texas Roadhouse, this is what he had to say about it:

During the storms and everything that happened this past season, area restaurants benefited from the out of town crews. But the local guys did their jobs and went home to their families. So, now, we're saying thank you to them. Thank you for all of your hard work, we really appreciate you, come on in, lunch is on us.

The Danbury City Highway Department, Danbury Parks and Rec and the Tree Division of Danbury will be the guests of honor.
