Connecticut’s Gas Pain Is Easing at the Pump
This week, it was a welcome sight to see fuel prices finally really dropping here in the Greater Danbury area after a slow decline at the start of the month.
Gasbuddy.com says prices are down 13.5 cents from last month’s average, and they're up almost 37 cents from last year at this time.
For the moment, prices seem to be coming down, but the outlook is uncertain as far as the future. OilPrice.com says there are rigs closing down, which will drive prices up nationally, so we shouldn’t necessarily get used to this decline.
On the other hand, USAToday.com says in spite of that and instability in the Middle East, prices should head downward because we have come out of the summer driving season. Generally, this time of year, we use less fuel. They also say we are getting back to pre-hurricane production levels.
I really hope USA Today is right and OilPrice is wrong!
