Police issued a warning in Wappingers Falls, NY after numerous cars were broken into recently.

Car thieves were reportedly busy in the Wappingers Falls area of Dutchess County over the weekend! The Village of Wappingers Falls Police Department is reporting that they have received multiple reports over the last few days of numerous car break-ins.

Car Break-ins in Wappingers Falls, NY

Police said the alleged car break-ins happened in the housing areas off of West Main Street in the village late Friday night (9/29) into Saturday morning (9/30). Police said that they believe that the reported thefts happened sometime between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. and are asking the public for assistance in finding who's responsible.

Did Your Car Get Broken Into?

Police are asking anyone who had anything stolen from their vehicle over the weekend to check and see if they might have any "surveillance video footage of anyone in your neighborhood during that time."

If you have footage police are asking that you contact their communications department at (845)297-1011 to make a report. They also said that folks can also email video footage to them at wfpdtips@wappingersfallsny.gov.

If you don't have any video footage make sure you ask around your neighborhood to see if any of your neighbors might have caught something on video that might help police find the suspects.
