It was a sight to behold as dozens lined up to have their heads shaved this past Saturday in Mahopac.

The Mahopac Inn was packed and rockin' and hair was flyin' everywhere. Dozens upon dozens of people couldn't wait to go bald, all to raise money for childhood cancer research.

According to tapinto.net, the St. Baldrick's Foundation was in town for their annual fundraiser which raised an impressive $40,000 to help fight cancer. This is year, #11 the Foundation has held this amazing fundraiser in Mahopac to both honor and help raise funds for the kids in Mahopac who are battling childhood cancer.

Next up, is Shepaug Valley High School, when the St. Baldrick's Foundation moves into Washington, CT for the next head-shaving party on Saturday, April 27 from 12:30 - 2:30 pm. Shepaug Valley High senior, Maddie Gorra said:

I will be shaving my head for childhood cancer! Join this St. Baldrick's event and donate, volunteer, or shave your head with me!
