You can say I started my DJ career at the age of 12 when I started my own mobile DJ business back in my hometown of Chanute, Kansas playing music for weddings, class reunions, birthday parties, school dances, and so on and so forth. I had an entire DJ setup with a booth featuring a custom-made amp and speakers, strobes, mirror balls with several different colored lights, and even a fog machine. We called it “Sounds Unlimited”…not bad right? My actual radio career began in September of 1990 at a small radio station in Southeast Kansas, KKOY AM/FM. The first two weeks, I only worked on the weekends running the board during Royals and Chiefs broadcasts. After that initial two weeks, I was full time, seven days a week, and have never looked back with stops at KIKS, KINZ, back to KKOY, then back to KIKS, then moved to WHUD in New York’s Hudson Valley, and now here, at The Home of Rock and Roll, i95. I want to thank my amazing fiancée Jen for her love and support. She is the reason I am now living in New York after 47 years of life in the flatlands of Kansas. Being Director of Content and Afternoon Drive Host is a dream job for me, everyone here is a radio vet and I am honored to work alongside them. Thanks for hanging with me and I look forward to many moons of playing great classic rock for the fine folks of Connecticut weekdays 3 to 7, right here on The Home of Rock and Roll, i95.
