Welcome to the latest edition of the Ace Endico Restaurant Spotlight, where we feature a new list of local restaurants each month to showcase some of the great eateries Connecticut has to offer. This month, we're sharing Irish pubs. Don't worry, you don't need the luck of the Irish with our top recommendations:

1) Molly Darcy’s Pub & Restaurant

Known year-round for Irish American fare, this Irish-family owned pub and restaurant has been dishing up lively entertainment, food, and more since 2000. Their location at 39A Mill Plain Road, Danbury, offers a beer garden with a heater, pool tables, virtual golf and darts.

2) O'Connor's Public House

It doesn't get much more Irish than this: Proprietor Bobby O’Connor is from Blarney, County Cork, Ireland. They serve up traditional fish and chips, bangers and mash, and Reubens, but they also offer an awesome mac & cheese burger and a house special grilled chicken sandwich with lemon pepper seasoning, bacon, mayonnaise, and pepper jack cheese.

3) O'Brien's Irish Pub

O'Brien's offers both traditional Irish fare and American pub food — you even have your choice of a corned beef or pastrami Reuben and a full Irish breakfast served at any hour. They open for lunch at 11 a.m. daily and offer happy hour from 4-7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

4) Fiddlers Green

Fiddlers Green is celebrating St. Patrick's Day with performances from the Irish Step Dancers and the Stephen P. Driscoll Pipe Band on Sunday, March 13 and Thursday, March 17. They'll be going all out with an Irish dinner menu and more!

5) O'Neill's Irish Pub & Restaurant

O'Neill's has been promoting their St. Patrick's event line-up, including a St. Baldrick's head-shaving event, for weeks.
