It's been eight years since Chick-fil-A opened in Brookfield at 156 Federal Road. That's when the traffic congestion began as hundreds of chicken sandwich lovers descended upon their beloved Chick-fil-A.

They came from far and wide to seek out the chicken mecca of Greater Danbury. They camped out overnight, 24 hours ahead of the official opening, to be one of the first 100 customers for a promotion offering free food.

Eight years later, we are still waiting in line on Federal Road in Brookfield to enter the Chick-fil-A drive-thru. Don't even get me started about the Saturday afternoon traffic congestion. Nothing warrants waiting in traffic and a drive-thru for anything, even a chicken sandwich.

Traffic relief is in sight as the long-awaited safety improvement project on Route 202 in Brookfield has finally begun after being in the planning stages for the past six years.

Have you ever wondered why so many people crave Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches? The seasoning, part of what makes it so special, was mastered by founder Truett Cathy when he opened his first restaurant. It also has a trademark Chick-fil-A sauce on its chicken sandwiches that cannot be found or replicated anywhere else.

Some people go to Chick-fil-A for the sauce alone and Chick-fil-A also has a secret menu that keeps customers excited to try new things. Some of the secret menu items include a buffalo chicken sandwich, fried chicken club, grilled cheese, and much more—to ensure that you never get bored.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
