A Huge Superstar Joins Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg Filming in the Region

If you’re skier you may recognize Butternut Ski Resort playing a starring role as a location, in the upcoming movie Daddy’s Home 2, but it's going to be a while before it will be released. In fact it’s filming as we speak in Great Barrington Massachusetts, for about another week as the Berkshire Eagle reports. the Paramount Pictures production crew has reportedly packed the area with all kinds of trucks, tents, lighting grids, sets, caterers, and other movie making stuff.

Daddy’s Home 2 is the sequel to the 2015 movie Daddy’s Home. It’s set to film in other parts of New England as well. Great Barrington is the closest it will come to us here in Western Connecticut. IMDB says it will be in theaters in November.

The movie will star Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, John Cena, Linda Cardellini, and John Lithgow. The stars are said to have been said to be frequenting the region, even Mel Gibson. Hey Braveheart could be wandering those hills in the Berkshires, which by the way, is not too far away for me to do some on set stalking!
